Our First Golf Outing of the Season

Today was a gorgeous day, so after church we headed to Moberly to take the girls golfing. I went along to take pictures, as usual! Gracie had a lot of fun but was probably distracted by Ella and me being there. Ella was a pretty good sport. She enjoyed "hitting" the ball, keeping score and drinking water from the canteen stations.

Brent loves this picture of Gracie. He said if she is a golfer in high school it will be fun to dig this out and show her how great her form was, even at 6 years old!

Spring is Here

Our neighborhood has a lot of beautiful trees that have exploded with blooms this week. The neighbors a few houses down have a magnolia tree that was gorgeous today, so we headed down to see it up close. The girls loved the big flowers!

Does that look like a forced smile, or what?!

And another one! We must need to work on our "natural" look!

After we got back home the girls were ready to swing. They still love the swing set that our friends from Keokuk gave us when Gracie was 2 years old. Thanks Bruce and Missy!!!

Easter 2010

Unfortunately, Brent was still very sick today, so the girls and I had to go to church without him. They looked so pretty in their matching dresses, and Ella got several comments about how well her cast matched her dress!

This is Grandpa and Nana's annual Easter picture where at least one of the girls doesn't want to have her picture taken. Clearly today that person was Ella.

Baskets of Easter goodies from Grandpa and Nana.

From Grandpa and Nana's we headed out to the Beaverson's for Easter lunch and fun times with family. It was such a gorgeous day that we seemed to navigate outdoors as much as possible.
Gracie and Lily are good buddies when they get to be together!
Ella loved playing near the fish pond that Todd built.

Todd took the little girls (minus Ella who was too scared) on a little ride in the wagon. They had a good time together.

Lilly, Elsie and Gracie

Ella had some "lap time" with my cousin Dawn while the big girls were on their ride.

Ella fell asleep on the way back to Grandpa and Nana's house, so Gracie got to have an egg hunt in my parent's house all by herself.

Grandpa said he hid 100 eggs in their basement, and Gracie found 96. We don't know if Grandpa counted wrong or if we will be finding eggs periodically throughout the year.

Gracie had to share her findings with Ella. She was willing to comply.

Some eggs had money, some had candy, and a couple had sweet gum balls. If you know my dad that may not surprise you!

Easter Fun in Unionville

Brent and I headed to Unionville today to pick up our girls. They went on Thursday, so that was a long time for me to not see them. I know they had a good time being with family. I missed that little smile though!
Kalyn and Gracie had a lot of fun playing together, as usual. Gracie still says that Kalyn is her best friend.

A rare smile from Ella for the camera. She's full of smiles until you pick a camera up, then it's quite a chore to get her to show some teeth!

Poor Ella...left out of the fun again. I'm sure it will be no time at all until she can manage to climb the ladder like the bigger kids.

Whoa! An even bigger, cheesier grin than the last one!

Mama with all of her grandkids!

Ella loves running up and down the ramp in typical "tada" fashion.

The first Easter egg hunt of the season. The girls were ready for this big moment.

Gracie with her basketful of loot.

A 4 generation photo - Granny Fowler, Mama, Brent, Rhonda, and Brenda, and then all of their kids. What a special photo!
