Gracie and Ella got a monstrous set of PlayDoh for Christmas and they have been enjoying it very much. Today while Ella was napping, Gracie wanted to make PlayDoh inventions, so this is a picture of some of her inventions.
It really was pretty cute because she could tell me what each invention's function was. Very creative for a 5 year old!
We made some cookies today and Ella got to experience licking the beater. She was a pretty big fan of this concept.
I loved licking the beater as a child, so it's fun to share the beater with my kids now. (Although if they aren't around I will still lick it sometimes!)
Grandpa and Nana came up tonight for supper and to see the girls. They hadn't seen them since Christmas day. Gracie and Nana got involved in a fierce game of Connect Four.
I'm pretty sure Gracie ended up winning, and I think it was a legitimate win. She has a pretty good eye for Connect Four.
Goofy Ella likes to hide behind the curtain in her room. She looks a little scary, kind of like a bank robber with pantyhose over his head!
She finally emerges saying Peek-A-Boo!
Gracie loves her bath. She especially loves it when I don't make her share her bathtime with Ella. Tonight was one of those nights, so she could really sprawl out in the tub.
We are back home now and had to take care of all the now that built up while we were traveling for Christmas. Brent and Gracie headed out to clean the driveway.
Ella really wanted to help, but she got sick while we were at Unionville with a bad cold, and she still doesn't feel the best. I let her stand in the back of the van and watch them.
After church Brent took Gracie and Kalyn sledding. They had a good time but pooped out pretty quick. It's hard enough for an adult to trudge through the snow and up hills, but it was especially difficult for the girls. I drove down to take some pictures and they were already heading home so this was the only picture I got. I'm so glad Brent likes snow and doesn't mind playing in it with the kids, because I really don't enjoy it at all. Maybe if it could be 60 degrees and snowy I could handle it, but I really despise being cold.
