"When I Get Bigger"

Ella is on a kick of saying "when I get bigger...." which is followed by something she longs to do. For instance, "Mommy, when I get bigger your bedroom will be mine. Mommy, when I get bigger Miss Gott will be my teacher. When I get bigger I will do cartwheels like Gracie. When I get bigger I will sit in a big girl car seat like Gracie. When I get bigger I will have an iron like yours." She has some big dreams! Well, I recently began jogging again, and one night as I was stretching I came to a startling realization. I can no longer sit on the ground with my legs in front of me and touch my toes. I tried and tried, but it was a waste of time. There's a good 2 inches lacking. Ella sat down beside me and demonstrated how she can touch her toes (and her fingers even stretch like 2 inches past her toes. Little show-off!) Anyway, she looked over at me and said, "Mommy, when you get bigger I will teach you to touch your toes." I wish it were that easy! In the meantime, I will continue to try to reach my toes on my own power and Ella will continue to work on the list of things she will do "when she gets bigger."
