Gracie's Dance Recital

Tonight was Gracie's second dance recital. There are very few things that she enjoys as much as she enjoys dancing. I can't think of a time that she didn't want to go to dance practice! So tonight they got to show off what they have been working so hard on. Gracie's class performed "Butterfly Fly Away" for their ballet routine. Here she is in her butterfly costume.

This is Gracie and her friend Madison. They aren't in the same class, but I wanted to get a picture of them together.

"Butterfly Fly Away"

Time for a costume change before the jazz portion of the recital.

While waiting for the jazz routines Ella wa busy dreaming about being in dance next year!

The jazz song Gracie's class danced to was "I Wanna Be Like You" from The Jungle Book. They were so cute in their homemade costumes!

The big finish at the end of the song involved each girl doing a "monkey move." They did cartwheels, somersaults, headstands, etc. Gracie's move was a bridge while another girl crawled under her and made a monkey face at the audience. I was not at a good angle to take this picture, but trust me, it was super cute.

In this picture they are blowing kisses to their adoring fans.

McKenna is Gracie's dance teacher (see the back row). She is 15 years old and teaches dance to all of these kids. I think she's amazing!

Gracie was sooo proud of her roses that Mamma and Aunt Rhonda brought her! She felt very special!

Gracie Butner, Lauren Burdin, Audree Butner, Brooke Weimer, Gracie and Mercy Pryor with McKenna.

I love this one! If Gracie grew up to be as sweet as McKenna, I would be very proud!
