Gracie didn't have school today, so I scheduled a dentist appointment for her. She has never been to the dentist before, so it's safe to say that she was nervous. It was fun to watch her relax as she quickly realized this wasn't going to be a horrible experience. First they had her watch a cartoon about going to the dentist and what she would experience. After the movie, they gave her cool sunglasses to wear while they took her x-ray. She chose purple! Then she got to pick from about 8 flavors to choose her flavor of cleaner they would use on her teeth. The dentist came in and informed her that she takes marvelous care of her teeth. Fortunately, she had no cavities, so it really was a pleasant trip to the dentist. He did tell us to go ahead and start saving up for braces in the future! (We pretty much already knew that!) The dentist gave Gracie a backpack full of goodies and let her pick a prize. She had a much better time than I did since I had to write the check for her dental visit. Yikes!
