Welcome to our blog. Brent is a principal, Emily teaches fourth grade, and Gracie and Ella are our little angels. We use this blog as our family scrapbook, so feel free to read away. However, I won't be surprised if you find our daily happenings to be dull! :-)

Ella vs Emma
Well, since you guys are doing such a good job voting on things, I thought I'd let you voice your opinion on baby names. Brent and I are both in favor of Ella but just today I told Brent that Emma was one of my favorite names. I went on to say that I would never use it since my name basically starts the same way (Emma-ly). It was like a light bulb went off in his head. He loved the name Emma and thought we should use it. Personally, I've grown fond of Ella, but like I said, Emma is a favorite of mine. Any opinions on either name or on Emma and Emily being so similar? Oh, and who in the world is Moses???

I think Emma Doolin would be a sweet name. Guys name their kids after themselves all the time, why can't the girls??
But I think Ella is pretty too...
I like them both, but I think I favor Ella. You're talking about middle names, right? Fuzzy Ella Doolin - sounds good :-)
I think Emma is nice as well. I won't worry about it being similar to your name.
As for the poopy
diaper...ummmmm...no thanks. I will just glory in the fact that my vote is right.
I don't get the Moses reference?
Personally I vote for Emma, just because another change in names may be traumatic for little Gracie!
We'll love her just as much - no matter what you choose!
I think Wapa (a.k.a. Grandpa) meant to vote for Ella. Gracie has really settled on it since it has a strong resemblance to Cinder-ella! It really might be hard for her to have to adjust to a second name change. Don't let that taint your votes though!
I love the name Emma. We took a vote of ladies at the bank and it was 50/50 so no help there.
Ella is so very pretty also.
Glad to be of help.
I'm happy to poll the students and faculty at MICDS if it would be helpful. :-)
Moses is the man that copied down the ten commandments. duh! ;)
I'll see you sometime this weekend. Not sure if I'll make it Friday or Saturday, though.
Oh yeah, either name sounds fine to me.

3 votes from the Neally household (my sister-in-law gave input) picked Ella; however, I think it would be cool to name her Emma, too. What happened to Fuzzy?
Tic toc...can't wait to see HER!!! Hang in there Emily...bet you feel like you're ready to explode. Praying for you!!
All the people of Taiwan would vote for Emma because Ella is to hard for them to say! It would sound like "Erra".:-) But since we're all taking polls I can ask a few of them if you want!
Jen- I feel privileged to have the people of Taiwan working on our baby name quandry. You are an awesome friend! :-)

Did you watch American Idol tonight? Someone's wife had a baby and they named her Emma Grace. Unfortunately, he didn't make it and is not going to Hollywood. But Emma Grace was beautiful. Thought of you guys with that name.
Hey Emily! I have always had Emma on my list of names because I once heard it with the middle name Sue, which is mom's middle name. However, since I have the G theme going, if we were ever blessed with a little princess we will have to come up with something different. With that being said, I'm still going to vote for Ella because I think it's a beautiful name! Hope you can get some rest! I know all about the turkey popper! My belly button has never been the same since! Good luck! We'll be praying for you!
FUZZY!!!!
