We decided to bite the bullet and put the Christmas tree up today. I was really dreading it, just because I know it will be a huge attraction for Ella. Gracie didn't really want to help with the actual tree or even the lights. She just stood there saying, "I want to do the ornaments." I assured her she could do the ornaments, but the lights had to go on first. Her patience wore a little thin in the process. Finally, we were ready to put up the ornaments and string the gold beads around the tree. When I left the room for a moment Gracie strung all of the beads on the tree. It was a little thick in the front. Actually, it was pretty to a 4 year old, but I felt compelled to even things out once I got back in the room. We thought the tree was beautiful when it was done. I have noticed that the ornaments are slowly being rearranged. Actually, I remember Gracie doing that last year too. She would look at the tree and feel like she needed to change things up once in a while. Hopefully her fascination will end soon. Next, we will be wrapping gifts to see how much that tempts Ella.

Yeah, you're back. Enjoyed reading the new posts and pics. What a nice playground at Moberly. Looks like nice equipment. The WOW park in Carthage was built with wood which never looks good after a few years. So glad you/Brent could attend the Clark County game -- what a fun time! I've been to a couple Carthage State Champ games and it's so much fun to watch a community come together to root on their hometown team. Of course, it didn't hurt to get in a little shopping while in St. Louis. I think everybody is getting a huge jumpstart on Christmas decorating, shopping, etc. on me this year. I'm just not in the mood. I think I'm too anxious wondering when Alisha will get to have baby G. She is ready now but the doctor doesn't agree.
I hope your tree survives inquisitive Ella! Elise liked helping with the ornaments but is now more interested in rearranging the nativity scenes. Very sweet.
Glad to see you back blogging...I have been slacking!
Dr. B is on my "naughty" list. He told me at my 36 week apt. that I could probably be induced at the end of the following week due to baby's positioning. At my 37week appt. he pushed it back a week. Yesterday, 38 weeks, he pushed it back another week. It's really getting frustrating and painful but I guess he knows what's best!
I have bumped Dr. B to the "Nice" list as I'm set to have the baby on Wednesday! Unfortunately, we took the boys to the Dr. on our way back and found out Gunner has a repsiratory infection that if not taken care of will likely turn into RSV or pneumonia. Gavin also has a bad cold. So, no hospital visits for them! I think it will be the hardest on mommy to be away from them for three days!
I have been fortunate with my Christmas photos so far. If we were at Sears, I wouldn't have such luck so I'm afraid our professional photos might be out for this year. I am trying to decide what to do for our card b/c I don't want to use the ones I've put on the blog since people have already seen them. :-) Now that the boys are sick and I'm going in on Wednesday, I don't think I can be too picky though! Good luck with yours!
