Good Times at the Park
After church today we were trying to decide where to go eat lunch since we had a pretty large group. We finally settled on everyone going to any fast food place they wanted and meeting up at the park to eat our food. It was a beautiful day, and the kids loved being free to play. Vian spent some time swinging with Ella.
Gracie loves to swing these days. She used to be timid about going too high, but now she wants to go high and jump off the swing.
This is my friend Tara. She is a wonderfully kind person who is a lot of fun to be around. We stay in touch through our blogs and Facebook. We had a lot in common when we lived in Kahoka because we were both wives to football coaches, so we had compassion for each other. One widow can comfort another! :-) Gracie is watching me type this and she wants to know why I'm not mentioning her in this paragraph. (She didn't see her name listed. Isn't that funny?) I reminded her that she didn't want her picture taken that day, and she said I needed to share that with you all.

Wow I made your blog... I'm a celebrity now on the doolin family blog! So glad we are staying in touch. Hope you come back again soon.... we need a girls night at Vian's house.
Hey Tara, we both made the blog. Whahoo!!! Yes, Emily needs to come back for a girl's night out. Brent gets to go golfing often when they return, so I think the next trip will be to pamper the girls. Sounds like a plan.
So Em, Alisha told me tonight that I have her memory card that has the girls in the truck on it at the pumpkin patch. I'll see if I can find it and send it to you.
Speaking of Alisha, she broke down and bought a minivan (see her blog). I can't believe it. Never dreamed she'd ever own a van (she always used to say she'll always drive an SUV).
Tell Gracie that Uncle Dana loves to see her pretty pictures on the blog.
It looks like you guys stay busy doing fun things together! I love this time of year! It's my favorite time to get out and do family things. Your girls are so cute!
