Easter Weekend Fun

Gracie had her picture taken as a newborn by the Easter bunny hanging on my parents door, so we had to do the same with Ella. It's eerie how much Gracie and Ella resemble each other when you compare the photos.
Gracie was an expert Easter egg finder thanks to 3 hunts on Easter day. I suppose the multiple pre-Easter egg hunts she held in our living room probably helped her skills.

This is the 2008 Doolin Family Easter photo. Ella didn't enjoy the photo shoot much thanks to her hunger pangs!

I promise that I did feed Ella shortly after this photo. She sure wasn't happy about having more pictures taken with Wapa and Nana, though.

Poor Ella is destined to a lifetime of hand-me-downs. She is wearing Gracie's first Easter dress.

Gracie loves to dress up in pretty dresses, so it was no chore to get her to put on this years Easter dress!

The Easter Bunny brought Gracie one whopper of a lollipop. It was a huge hit. We think Mike is probably jealous!
How many licks does it take to get to the center of this lollipop??? We'll let you know! It's almost bigger than Gracie's face.
Gracie didn't look like the big girl that she is until we had Ella. Now it's obvious that she's not a little girl anymore.

Gracie, Ella and cousin Callie hung out for a while on Saturday afternoon. Gracie loves her big cousin Callie.
Ella has 2 cousins born shortly before her, and they all got together for the first time on Saturday for a short visit. They slept for the majority of the time, so they will have to bond later! (Ella, Corbin and Seth)
Gracie was eggceptionally proud of her Easter eggs she decorated. Wocka, Wocka, Wocka!

I think I could take one side of that sucker and Gracie the other, and we would meet in the middle sometime in July.

Even though we just saw you yesterday - we love those pictures! Keep them coming!

Is the lollipop any smaller today?

The pictures are great beautiful dresses. I'm sure Ella won't mind for awhile about hand me downs. I have had lots of compliments on my new month pictures of Ella. Love Mama

The lollipop is not smaller, but it is losing some color. I should really post a picture of Gracie's face after a session of licking the lollipop!

Looks like a wonderful Easter was had by all! Gracie's dress is beautiful! I LONG to buy pretty girl clothes and play baby dolls and barbies! I told Brent in Hannibal that if we both try for #3 and get the same outcome, we may have to swap! :-) JK I know that neither of you would trade your precious girls for anything nor would we trade our boys! Gunner will know how Ella feels about the hand-me downs. He usually only gets new clothes on special occasions so they can match, or when Mimi wants to spoil him! Gavin was jealous of Gracies "sucker" when he looked at the pix. He had his first one at the doctor's office today. They say he needs more calories so I guess maybe I need to invest in a large lollipop, too!

Such cute family pics even if Ella didn't want to cooperate. I just can't believe how fast she is growing. Hope the days are long-lived for keeping her content to help with Gracie, too. I don't know how you and Alish find the time to give each of them so much time by yourself day after day after day. Whenever I get the chance to watch the boys by myself, I don't get anything done. They are so much work. But don't get me wrong...they are worth every minute and I love it. I think both you and Alisha are so lucky to be stay-at-home moms and know that some day you will be blessed for all the sacrifices you make.
