Miss America

Tonight is the Live Miss America Pageant. They had on dresses when it started, and then the next competition was the swimsuit competition. Gracie and I were playing a princess game when she noticed that they were now wearing bathing suits. She said, "Why did they take their dresses off?" I said because now they are having a bathing suit competition. Gracie's reply was, "Now they are ready for the pool." She was very disappointed when we never did get to see the pretty girls in the pool. When the evening gown competition came on, Emily tried to brain wash Gracie by telling her that the dresses that showed too much cleavage or too much leg were torn. By the 5th or 6th girl, Gracie had it down and would say, "Oh, hers is torn too. I think she needs to get a new dress."

I was a little suprised that she did not want to put on her bathing suit as well then change to her princess dress. Hope you have a good weekend Love Mama

Has Gracie went through the "but why" stage yet? I'm starting to realize where Gracie gets her creativity - from her creative mommy, eh?

Were you totally shocked at Idol knockoff this week? I'm about ready to boycott the show b/c they always seem to kick off the wrong people. Remember when Chris Daughtry was kicked off? Anyway, Michael Johns was one of my top three (along with David Archuletta and David Cook). I think Archuletta is going to win the whole thing -- afterall, he truly is an American IDOL. Those girls are in love with him and rightfully so for the humble, knieve 17-year old. I think Idol should allow people to vote for the person they want kicked off so votes aren't split for the ones that should remain on the show.
