We had a wonderful weekend visit to Kahoka and Keokuk. It was short and fast paced so we didn't get everywhere we needed to go, but it was fun. Hopefully we can go back soon. I'm sitting here wondering how I left without getting a picture of Melissa, Joel, Mike, Todd or Ashton holding Ella. Next time, be prepared. I'm after ya!
Welcome to our blog. Brent is a principal, Emily teaches fourth grade, and Gracie and Ella are our little angels. We use this blog as our family scrapbook, so feel free to read away. However, I won't be surprised if you find our daily happenings to be dull! :-)

A Weekend In Keokuk

Now you know why my mom was so determined to get every single person in a picture who came to help with your move in July. Doesn't want to leave anyone out.
Glad you had a good weekend.

Looks like you guys had a nice visit. And Miss Ella got lots of lovin':) It's always so hard to get pictures of everyone, but I'm sure you'll get them next time!

Somehow I managed to claim praise band practice baby hog but I really did offer to let the girls hold our sweet lil' Ella. Guess you know she's one popular baby when your friends start timing the "hold time". Isn't that hilarious? It was great seeing you again. I really do hope things work out for you to return the end of May but we certainly understand if you have another commitment to attend a wedding.
I noticed Brent got asked to serve communion. Guess you're still not considered guests at NTCC, huh? I just LOVE to have you play/sing with the praise team. It's truly amazing how much you add for fullness -- not to mention vocally. Wooooo. To God be the glory!
It broke my heart when Gracie was crying because she didn't want to leave. Hope you had a good trip back home. Did both girls sleep?
Hope you have a great week!
Vian, yes both girls did sleep on the way home. Gracie was asleep before Ella in fact. We are almost sure we won't be able to come back for Katie's graduation, but it's still a possibility. Oh, and the baby hog comment was a joke! As someone said, next time we'll start a sign up sheet before our visit so everyone can sign up for their Ella time. :-) Love you guys!
I was hoping they'd get some shut eye on the way home. Yes, I know you were joking but I've been called that with my family frequently and I'm proud to claim it. I'll be a baby hog as long as I can get away from it. If you passive when babies are around, you're in trouble -- that is, when it comes to the babies in my family and Ella is included.
