Playdates and Tea Parties

Gracie had a neighbor who is 5 years old over today for a playdate. Gracie decided she wanted to have a tea party. Emma came over with her arsenol of princess dresses, shoes, tiaras, etc. After they dressed up we set up the tea party and they enjoyed cookies, pretzels and grapes while they sipped their tea. I left them for a while and when I came back Gracie was telling Emma, "Princesses lift their pinky up when they drink tea." I guess it was a proper tea party!

Now for an Ella story...this afternoon she was asleep on my chest and must have been having a good dream. She let out 3 or 4 giggles, and it was so funny. She has been cooing lately, but to hear her laugh made me so happy. She will be a lot more fun for Gracie once she can interact a little more. Actually, Gracie is pretty happy just to see her smile and coo. It won't be long until I'll be blogging conversations I'm having with Ella, huh?!

If I recall correctly Gracie has quite an arsenol of princess
clothes, etc. also.

The girls looked like they were having fun.

I would have loved to hear Ella giggle.

I seem to recall hiding in Gracie's closet two weeks ago and seeing quite the collection of princess dresses myself!

Too cute! Those are quite the outfits! Maybe Gavin can have a tea party with Gracie wearing the heels I just posted pix of!

PS I love dreamy giggles! I always think they MUST be dreaming of mommy!

Thought of Gracie this weekend when we were watching Enchanted with Steve/Linda Chase and her son, DJ, and clan. It was a great movie. Have you seen it? There is a little girl in it (and McDreamy is in the movie as the lil' girls dad) and it has a princess for the main character. Boy can she sing. It's a lil cheesy, but fun and super creative. I could see Gracie in that movie - she'd fit right in.

What is it about tea parties? Sure is an attraction. How nice to get real cookies. Love the pinky story. Now where would she have picked that up? How fascinating.

Stay warm - sounds like the snow is coming our way. Argh.
