We spent a lot of time outside this morning while Ella was napping, and Gracie wanted to dig in the dirt. She had on her short-sleeved shirt, Capri's and her good tennis shoes. I told her she couldn't dig in her good shoes so she needed to get her play shoes on. She came back with her snow boots and said they would be perfect for digging, so I allowed her to wear her snow boots with her Capri's. I only had one thought as I watched her running around in her boots and Capri's. Napoleon Dynamite would be proud!

Hasn't it been great to get outside? Our whole family is in better moods due to the warmer weather. It is nice when Clint has nights or weekends free from baseball so that we can go new places with Gavin. It's so much fun experiencing things through his eyes! The only bad thing is that I feel guilty when I delay us from going outside so that I can get some cleaning or laundry done. I only do what's absolutely necessary and know that the rest can wait! I can't depend on naptime b/c they aren't usually on the same schedule. :-)
Yes, it has been a wonderful week so far. We have enjoyed as much time outside as possible. I know what you mean about the housework. That's why I loved the forward you sent a while back about how it's so much more worthwhile to play with your children than to do the list of things we always have to do, because they won't be little for very long. I didn't realize Clint coached baseball too. You have my sympathies. Well, Brent doesn't coach but he has to be at all the games and the track meets. Yuck for us!
Gracie is stylin' like the college girls. Yep, she looks just like 'em wearing her boots with capris. You go girl!!!
