Welcome to our blog. Brent is a principal, Emily teaches fourth grade, and Gracie and Ella are our little angels. We use this blog as our family scrapbook, so feel free to read away. However, I won't be surprised if you find our daily happenings to be dull! :-)

Happy Mother's Day!
This was a doubly special weekend, because it was Mother's Day and Janice's retirement celebrations. We went to Unionville on Friday for the retirement party the school had for all of the staff that was retiring. I didn't get any pictures at it because Ella was sick, so I couldn't do anything but hold her. We stayed through Sunday so that we could have a retirement party for Janice after church on Sunday.
Brent's Grandma Eileen and his mom, Janice
Janice surprised me by asking my parents and Grandma to come up for the day. This picture shows my Grandma Kaser and my mom.
This picture was meant to be a 4 generation photo. Sometimes you just take what you can get, and that day, we couldn't get a smile from Gracie or Ella. Moving right along...
Gene and Donita Weece enjoying cake at the reception.
Janice Bowman and Darlene and Larry Cassady with Janice
The colorful food table. We had 4 kinds of cakes, 8000 homemade mints (OK, that's a stretch, but it's a long running joke), nuts, and punch.
Charlie Bill Pittman greeting Brent and Ella.
Brenda and Jaden were keeping the punch comin'!

Janice showing off the flower pot my parents gave her for her retirement.
Silly Ella loves to tickle her own feet. She likes it even better if we will tickle her, but if no one is around, she will do it herself.

Wow, looks like you had quite a party for Janice's retirement. Love the colorful decor. Did you do the decorating? LOVE the "flower pot". I have never seen such a thing. I've always thought both girls look so much like Brent---especially Ella but I can't believe how much Ella looks like Gracie in the pic where she's ticking her toes. Eeerie. Toe jam???? Hope you had a great Mother's Day Emily!! I certainly did!
I can't claim any responsibility for the decorating or cakes, but I can tell you I pressed out at least 5,000 of the 8,000 mints!
:-) Oh, and yes, Ella and Gracie look a lot alike. I can see differences when I look back at Gracie's pictures at this stage, but it's still a pretty close resemblence.
I am sure that Emily press out mor than 5000 mints because I(Brenda had more than one reason to keep getting up and stop making mints. Thanks Emily for your wonderful mints.) Thanks also for all the pictures!!!! You did great!!!!
Brenda
I love the picture of Ella and the toe jam. Elise used to do that and we thought it was hilarious...It was hard to believe how far apart she could pry her toes!! These girls are too sweet.
