Saturday in Fayette

Last Saturday we went to Fayette where my cousin Jenny lives. Three of her siblings were back with their families to visit, so my parents, grandma and our family loaded up the van for a day visiting the extended family. It was so hot, but luckily they have a nice pool. Gracie went down the slide...but only once. She didn't realize how fast it would go or that she would go under water. I was actually in the water to catch her, but she still went under a little.
We practiced Gracie's swimming a lot that day. She liked the floaty they had at their house.
Seth, Corbin and Ella are cousins and were all born within a month of each other.

Abbie and Gracie had fun playing together. Abbie is 3 and Gracie is 4 and a half. Abbie is a very strong swimmer, so she inspired Gracie to try some new things.

By the time we left, Gracie was very proud of her progress and so were we. She was swimming by herself, with the help of the floatation device.
