Mirror Image

I find myself chuckling sometimes when I see Ella in the same baby clothes Gracie wore, looking so much like Gracie in almost every way. Some of their poses for pictures are so similar as well. I guess there are only so many things to prop a newborn against, so in many pictures they were posed in the same way, against the same backdrop, and that makes them look even more alike.
These days when I'm taking Ella's picture, Gracie always wants to hop in and get a piece of the action. This day she jumped in the picture and struck up a cute conversation with Ella about how much Ella likes her big sister. Gracie is pretty confident that Ella could find no wrong in her skills as a big sister!

I love the way that Ella intently looks at Gracie. I've said it before but will again don't you wonder what Ella thinks! In this pic it looks like Gracie is giving Ella advice and Ella is taking it all in! Thanks Emily for all your work on your Blog it's fun to be able to stay in touch.

I thought she must have grown by leaps and bounds when I looked at this picture. Her arms and legs look so chubby. When I picked her up at Gina's last night I realized the picture made her look like that but she is so little. I want to keep her little for a long time. They grow so fast. She is so sweet and so content. What a blessing.

Make sure you mark those pictures with which girl is in which picture, it's not so easy to tell in 10-15 years! I have to really think about it with my big boys. Ella looks like she's listening intently to Gracie and taking in all her good sisterly advice:) Too cute!
