Kirksville's Aquatic Center

Today we had a field trip with Gracie's summer school. I went along to watch her swim since Brent thought she would be wanting all of his attention, and he would need to pay attention to all the kids. She thought it was great because she finally got to ride a school bus!
Gracie was anxious to get in the water, but I wanted one more picture!

I tried to get a good shot of how big it was, but couldn't capture the whole thing in my viewfinder.

This is just a shot of Gracie sliding down a floating frog that was in the middle of the pool. It was quite popular with the littler kids.

Gracie was trying to practice her swimming in some shallow water. She had on her life jacket, so it wasn't too much of a challenge!

Miss Gott, Gracie's teacher, asked her class to sit at the edge of the pool to line up for lunch. I just thought it was really cute to see them sitting so nicely. They may have just been exhausted from the swimming and the sun! After this, we dried off and had a picnic lunch in a shelter. It was a very fun morning, but Gracie wanted to ride back home with me instead of in the school bus. Maybe it wasn't as exciting as she had hoped it would be. Thanks to Grandpa Self for watching Ella so that I could go on the field trip. Next time I hope you will be feeling better!

How fun! Keokuk got a new pool but it isn't near as big as this! We're pretty excited about it, though! I have yet to get up the courage to take all three!
