Rain Can't Stop Us From Playing

We drove home from Grandpa's appointment today in the rain, and when we got home it was still raining. Fortunately it didn't last long. The kids were out splashing in puddles before bedtime.

Gracie said she was flying through the puddles. She flew by me so quickly that I almost missed her.

Ella, the hillbilly with no shoes on, loves to splash in water. She gets a big kick out of being barefoot, and adding water to the equation makes her that much happier.

Ella found a paintbrush in the garage and was "painting" water onto the bike.
Reaching down to dip her paintbrush into a puddle, Ella caught me taking her picture.

I caught Ella picking the flowers today. She was slowing pulling the petals off. It was kind of cute, but a definite no-no!

Gracie was helping to teach Ella about flowers. She was telling Ella that she shouldn't pick the flowers, because then they have to start all over again. I thought that was a cute way to explain the situation.

For some reason Ella decided to climb on the bike with Gracie. It was the first time she has wanted to do this, so it struck me as funny. Gracie was glad to give Ella a spin around the driveway.

Our girls!

Don't you love watching your girls just have simple fun like we used to do as kids (at least I did) like playing in the rain.
