Progress

Well we are finally making some progress on the exterior of the house. We knew when we bought this house that it would need siding relatively soon, and we were ready to tackle it this summer. Thankfully, the quote to hire it out was reasonable, so we aren't doing it ourselves! The left side of the house is done, and the right side is still covered in the green insulation board that Randy (our siding man) put up. I'm just thrilled that he has finally made his way around the house and is wrapping up. Of course, that means we have some painting to do in order for everything to match. This has been a 3 week project since Randy is a one-man crew, so we are ready to see it finished.
The shutters are painted and ready to be hung, but that is probably his last step. It will probably help things look more polished to have the shutters back up. Gracie's bedroom is the one on the left and Ella's is the one on the right, for those of you who haven't been to our home.

For being a one-man crew I think Randy is doing a fine job, but it just takes him longer than it would a full crew. Plus, he only does this from 8-12 and then goes to his "real job" as he states it. Hopefully I can post pictures soon of the finished result!

Looks like you have a very nice home Emily. What color are you painting the shutters?
