The Moberly Field Trip
Today Gracie's school took a field trip to Moberly to ride the miniature train and play at Candy Cane City. This is Gracie's class lining up for their instructions. They were told to wear a blue shirt today, but the only blue shirt she had was one that Brent wore to play t-ball when he was a child. It's well worn, but was kind of cute!
Gracie was all smiles as she got ready to ride the train. She has ridden it before, but it was still fun for her to get to ride it with her new classmates.
All partnered up, Gracie and Lisa were walking to the train after they were given their tickets.
Aren't they all so cute?
Waiting patiently for the train ride to start, Gracie had to wait patiently for me to stop taking pictures!!!
Off they go. Gracie is in the 3rd seat waving at us.
My dad came over to help watch Ella while I was at the field trip. She was mesmerized by the train. She loved all the kids waving, laughed every time the train conductor blew the whistle, and just loved being outdoors.
If the train drove by, Ella pointed at it...every time.
Grandpa and Ella were snuggling while they waited for the train to come back. She had just woken up from a nap, so she was willing to snuggle.
The last train wasn't full, so Ella and I rode along. Actually, Grandpa rode too!

I am so jealous sometimes when Grandpa gets to do the fun stuff with you guys. I guess the choice is mine if I want to retire. I'm not ready for that but sometimes it depends on the day.

What a fun day looked like the weather was nice too
What fun! Where is the Candy Cane City in Moberly? Is it in Rothwell park? Looks like lots of fun!
What fun! We have never taken Elise to ride the train when we are in town...maybe next time!
Also - love Ella's outfit - too cute ;)
