Sorry we didn't post anything for a few days. It was not because we were having non-stop fun the last 3 days. Brent was out of school Friday, so he jumped into a painting project that I was able to help with and it has gone on for days. The joys of home ownership, right?!
This is my last day of being the "older woman" in our house. For 1 month and 3 days out of the year Brent gets to say that he is married to an older woman and he likes to remind me of it by singing "Older Women Make Beautiful Lovers" on my birthday. Alas, tomorrow Brent will join the ranks of a 31 year old. The added year will probably add to his wisdom, thus making his blog additions even more humorous.
Gracie and I carved her pumpkin this afternoon. She had never seen the inside of a pumpkin, and she found it thoroughly disgusting and stinky. I had her stick her hand inside to help scrape the seeds and she said, "Mommy, you can get the weeds out yourself." It really is a gross job, so I didn't blame her a bit. The carving was fun, but she wanted me to carve cheeks and a forehead into her pumpkin, and I really couldn't think of a way to achieve either. Some of you skilled carvers are probably laughing that I didn't attempt it, but for this year her pumpkin is doing good to have 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth. Maybe next year I will try for cheeks or a forehead.
Happy Halloween!

So, when no one makes a comment about an entry do you think, "I wonder if anyone is reading this?", or "Maybe they don't care about the cuteness anymore?" Well, neither is true! It's just not true!! Looking forward to seeing all of you this weekend!
Hey Brent:
Jessica says the Penguin is in the movie, Billy Madison. Is she right?
She also says that the Brent I talk about and the Brent who writes on the blog somestimes are two totally different people.

Happy birthday Brent! Hope you had a great day. If you're wondering if anybody reads your blog, you can get a tracker. Lea downloaded it to her blog so now she can see if anybody is reading her blog. Trust me . . . there are several people that read these things and never comment. So Lea knows when we are and are not reading her blog. She can even tell when people read her comments. Technology is unbelievable and scary at the same time.
